CVE-2024-37306

20
FAUCET Score

CVE-2024-37306 is a cross-site request forgery (CSRF) vulnerability affecting Computer Vision Annotation Tool (CVAT) versions 2.2.0 through 2.14.2. An attacker can trick a logged-in user into visiting a malicious URL, enabling them to initiate a dataset export or backup to a cloud storage the victim has access to, with an attacker-chosen filename. This allows for arbitrary file overwrites in the victim's cloud storage and potential exfiltration of sensitive project data if the attacker has read access to that storage. The vulnerability has a CVSS score of 7.1 (High), indicating a network-based attack with low complexity requiring user interaction, leading to high confidentiality impact and low integrity impact. There is no evidence of active exploitation, public exploit code, or significant community discussion, and it is not listed in the CISA KEV catalog.
