CVE-2024-3729 is a critical vulnerability affecting the Frontend Admin by DynamiApps WordPress plugin, versions up to and including 3.19.4. It stems from improper missing encryption exception handling in the 'fea_encrypt' function, allowing unauthenticated attackers to manipulate user and post processing forms. This can lead to privilege escalation (adding/editing admin users), authentication bypass, or arbitrary web script injection, but only if the 'openssl' PHP extension is not loaded. With a CVSS score of 9.8 (CRITICAL), the vulnerability is easily exploitable over the network with low attack complexity and high impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability. Currently, there is no evidence of active exploitation, nor are there public exploit codes available in Metasploit, Nuclei, or ExploitDB, and it is not listed in CISA's KEV catalog.
