CVE-2024-3565 is a Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the Content Blocks (Custom Post Widget) plugin for WordPress, versions up to and including 3.3.0. This medium-severity flaw (CVSS 5.4) allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level access or higher to inject malicious web scripts via the 'content_block' shortcode due to insufficient input sanitization. When a user accesses an affected page, these scripts will execute, potentially leading to client-side attacks.
