CVE-2024-3564 is a Local File Inclusion vulnerability affecting all versions up to 3.3.0 of the Content Blocks (Custom Post Widget) plugin for WordPress. Authenticated attackers with contributor-level access or higher can exploit this via the 'content_block' shortcode to include and execute arbitrary files, potentially leading to PHP code execution. This high-severity vulnerability (CVSS 8.8) allows for bypassing access controls, data theft, or full code execution if "safe" file types can be uploaded. Currently, there is no known active exploitation, public exploit code (Metasploit, Nuclei, ExploitDB), or significant community discussion or media coverage.
