CVE-2024-32644

25
FAUCET Score

CVE-2024-32644 is a critical vulnerability in Evmos, a Proof-of-Stake EVM blockchain, affecting versions prior to 17.0.0. It allows for arbitrary token minting due to a synchronization flaw between the Cosmos SDK and EVM states during transaction execution. This flaw, rated 9.1 CRITICAL (CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:H/A:H), enables non-atomic transactions where a contract's storage state can be manipulated to appear unchanged while external calls are made, leading to potential fund drainage. There is currently no evidence of active exploitation, public exploit code, or significant community discussion, and it is not listed on the KEV catalog.
