CVE-2024-31391 is a sensitive information disclosure vulnerability affecting Apache Solr Operator versions 0.3.0 through 0.8.0. When Solr security is bootstrapped with basic authentication and probes require authentication, the operator logs the "k8s-oper" account's username and password in Kubernetes events if a probe fails. This medium-severity vulnerability (CVSS 6.5) allows an attacker with access to Kubernetes events to obtain credentials, potentially leading to unauthorized access to Solr. There is no evidence of active exploitation, public exploit code, or significant community discussion surrounding this CVE.
