27
FAUCET Score

CVE-2024-3119 is a critical buffer overflow vulnerability affecting all versions of irontec sngrep since v0.4.2. It stems from improper handling of 'Call-ID' and 'X-Call-ID' SIP headers, where the strncpy function copies data into fixed-size buffers without length validation. This flaw allows remote, unauthenticated attackers to execute arbitrary code or cause a denial of service (DoS) via specially crafted SIP messages, earning a CVSS score of 9.8. Despite its high severity, there is currently no evidence of active exploitation, public exploit code, or significant community discussion surrounding this vulnerability.
