CVE-2024-29896

21
FAUCET Score

CVE-2024-29896 affects the Astro-Shield library, specifically when automated Content Security Policy (CSP) header generation is enabled for Server-Side Rendered (SSR) content. This vulnerability allows for the potential "allow-listing" of malicious injected resources, such as inline JavaScript or external malicious scripts, if external users can partially control the served content. Rated 7.5 HIGH on the CVSS scale, this vulnerability has a network attack vector and low attack complexity, potentially leading to high integrity impacts by allowing attackers to bypass CSP protections. There is no impact on confidentiality or availability. Currently, there is no evidence of active exploitation, publicly available exploit code (Metasploit, Nuclei, ExploitDB), or significant community discussion surrounding this CVE. A fix is available in Astro-Shield version 1.3.0.
