CVE-2024-2969 is a Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) vulnerability affecting all versions of the WP-Eggdrop plugin for WordPress up to and including 0.1. This flaw stems from inadequate nonce validation in the wpegg_updateOptions() function, allowing unauthenticated attackers to modify plugin settings if they can trick an administrator into clicking a malicious link. Rated as Medium severity (CVSS 5.4), it requires user interaction and could lead to unauthorized changes to plugin configurations.
