CVE-2024-27438 describes a critical "Download of Code Without Integrity Check" vulnerability in Apache Doris versions 1.2.0 through 2.0.4. An authenticated attacker can exploit this flaw by creating a JDBC catalog with a malicious driver JAR file, leading to remote command execution when the catalog initializes. With a CVSS score of 9.8 (CRITICAL), this vulnerability allows for complete compromise of confidentiality, integrity, and availability with low attack complexity and no user interaction required.
