CVE-2024-2500 describes a Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability in the ColorMag WordPress theme, affecting all versions up to and including 3.1.6. Authenticated attackers with contributor-level access or higher can inject malicious web scripts through a user's Display Name due to inadequate input sanitization and output escaping. This medium-severity vulnerability (CVSS 6.4) allows for arbitrary script execution when a user views an affected page, potentially leading to information disclosure or unauthorized actions.
