CVE-2024-23816 is a critical vulnerability affecting multiple versions of Siemens Location Intelligence products (all versions prior to V4.3). The flaw stems from the use of a hard-coded secret for Keyed-Hash Message Authentication Code computation. This allows an unauthenticated remote attacker to achieve full administrative access to the application. With a CVSS score of 9.8 (Critical), the vulnerability is easily exploitable over the network with low attack complexity, leading to complete compromise of confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
