CVE-2024-20338 is a high-severity vulnerability in the ISE Posture (System Scan) module of Cisco Secure Client for Linux. This flaw, due to an uncontrolled search path element (CWE-427), allows an authenticated, local attacker to elevate privileges to root on affected Linux systems running Cisco Secure Client. Exploitation requires an attacker to place a malicious library file and an administrator to restart a specific process, leading to arbitrary code execution.
