CVE-2024-20336 is a buffer overflow vulnerability in the web-based user interface of Cisco Small Business 100, 300, and 500 Series Wireless APs. An authenticated, remote attacker with administrative credentials can exploit this flaw by sending a crafted HTTP request due to insufficient input validation. A successful exploit could lead to arbitrary code execution as the root user, resulting in a CVSS score of 6.5 (Medium) with high impact on confidentiality and integrity. There is currently no evidence of active exploitation, public exploit code, or significant community discussion surrounding this vulnerability.
