CVE-2024-1915 is a critical Incorrect Pointer Scaling vulnerability affecting Mitsubishi Electric MELSEC-Q and MELSEC-L Series CPU modules. This flaw allows an unauthenticated remote attacker to execute arbitrary malicious code by sending a specially crafted network packet to the vulnerable devices. With a CVSS score of 9.8, this vulnerability is easily exploitable over the network with low attack complexity, leading to complete compromise of confidentiality, integrity, and availability. While no public exploits, Metasploit modules, or Nuclei templates are currently available, and community discussion is minimal, the high severity warrants immediate attention.
