17
FAUCET Score

CVE-2024-1578 is a firmware fault in rf IDEAS MiCard PLUS Ci and MiCard PLUS BLE readers, also rebranded by NT-ware, that can cause random characters to be dropped from ID card reads. This can lead to incorrect ID card assignments during self-registration and failed login attempts, compromising the uniqueness of ID cards and posing a security risk. The vulnerability has a CVSS score of 5.3 (Medium), indicating a physical attack vector with high attack complexity, but with high confidentiality and low integrity/availability impacts.
