CVE-2024-13446 is a critical privilege escalation vulnerability affecting the Workreap plugin for WordPress, versions up to and including 3.2.5. Unauthenticated attackers can exploit this by either logging in as any user if their email is known or by changing an arbitrary user's password, including administrators, due to insufficient identity validation during social auto-login or profile updates. With a CVSS score of 9.8 (CRITICAL), this vulnerability has a low attack complexity and can lead to complete compromise of confidentiality, integrity, and availability. There is currently no public exploit code available, nor is there evidence of active exploitation or significant community discussion.
