CVE-2024-12642 is an Arbitrary File Write vulnerability affecting Chunghwa Telecom's TenderDocTransfer application. It stems from a lack of CSRF protection on local web server APIs, combined with a Relative Path Traversal flaw in one of these APIs. This allows unauthenticated remote attackers, via phishing, to write arbitrary files to any location on a user's system, leading to high impact on integrity and availability. While rated as high severity (CVSS 8.1), there is currently no evidence of active exploitation, public exploit code, or significant community discussion.
