CVE-2024-12386 describes a Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) vulnerability in the WP Abstracts WordPress plugin, affecting all versions up to and including 2.7.3. This flaw stems from a lack of nonce validation, enabling unauthenticated attackers to delete arbitrary user accounts if they can trick a site administrator into clicking a malicious link. Rated Medium (CVSS 5.4), the attack requires user interaction but has low impact on integrity and availability. There is currently no evidence of active exploitation, public exploit code (Metasploit, Nuclei, ExploitDB), or significant community discussion surrounding this vulnerability.
