CVE-2024-11925 is a critical privilege escalation vulnerability affecting the JobSearch WP Job Board plugin for WordPress, impacting all versions up to and including 2.6.7. The flaw stems from insufficient identity verification during email confirmation via the user_account_activation function. This allows unauthenticated attackers to log in as any user, including administrators, if their email address is known. With a CVSS score of 9.8 (CRITICAL), the vulnerability is easily exploitable over the network with low attack complexity, leading to complete compromise of confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
