CVE-2024-10525 is a critical vulnerability in Eclipse Mosquitto versions 1.3.2 through 2.0.18, where a malicious broker can trigger an out-of-bounds memory access in libmosquitto clients, including mosquitto_sub and mosquitto_rr, by sending a crafted SUBACK packet without reason codes. This vulnerability has a CVSS score of 9.8 (Critical) due to its network-based attack vector, low complexity, and potential for high impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
