CVE-2024-10482 describes a cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in the Media File Rename, Find Unused File, Add Alt text, Caption, Desc For Image SEO WordPress plugin prior to version 1.5.0. This flaw allows authenticated users, even those with Author privileges, to upload malicious SVG files containing XSS payloads due to insufficient sanitization. Rated Medium severity with a CVSS score of 5.4, the vulnerability requires user interaction (UI:R) but can be exploited remotely (AV:N) with low privileges (PR:L), potentially leading to limited impact on confidentiality and integrity (C:L, I:L).
