CVE-2023-48050 is a critical SQL injection vulnerability affecting Cams Biometrics Zkteco, eSSL, and Cams Biometrics Integration Module with HR Attendance (aka odoo-biometric-attendance) versions 13.0 through 16.0.1. This flaw allows an unauthenticated remote attacker to execute arbitrary code and gain elevated privileges by manipulating the 'db' parameter in the controllers/controllers.py component. With a CVSS score of 9.8 (Critical), the vulnerability is easily exploitable over the network with low attack complexity, leading to complete compromise of confidentiality, integrity, and availability. Currently, there is no public exploit code available, it is not listed on the KEV catalog, and it has received minimal community discussion or media coverage.
