CVE-2023-48031 is a critical unrestricted file upload vulnerability affecting OpenSupports v4.11.0. An attacker can bypass security restrictions in the comment function by manipulating file magic bytes to upload dangerous file types, such as .bat files. This allows for arbitrary code execution or reverse shell establishment, leading to unauthorized system control. With a CVSS score of 9.8 (CRITICAL), this vulnerability is easily exploitable over the network without authentication and can result in complete compromise of confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
