CVE-2023-46668 is a critical vulnerability affecting Elastic Endpoint versions 7.9.0 through 8.10.3. When Elastic Endpoint's logging level is explicitly set to debug and Elastic Agent is configured to send these logs to Elasticsearch, Elastic Agent API keys are exposed in plaintext. This allows an attacker to read Elastic Endpoint user artifacts and write arbitrary data, evidenced by its CVSS score of 9.1 (CRITICAL) with a network attack vector and high impact to confidentiality and integrity. There is currently no evidence of active exploitation, public exploit code, or significant community discussion surrounding this vulnerability.
