CVE-2023-46118 is a denial-of-service vulnerability affecting RabbitMQ versions prior to 3.11.24 and 3.12.7. An authenticated attacker with high privileges can exploit the lack of an HTTP request body limit in the HTTP API by publishing extremely large messages, leading to an out-of-memory condition and node termination. Rated Medium severity (CVSS 4.9), this vulnerability requires authenticated access and has a high impact on availability. There is currently no evidence of active exploitation, public exploit code, or significant community discussion surrounding this CVE.
