CVE-2023-45220 is a high-severity vulnerability (CVSS 8.8) affecting Bosch Rexroth ctrlX HMI web panels. The Android client application, when manually configured with a server IP, insecurely retrieves sensitive information (IP address and MQTT broker credentials) over unencrypted HTTP instead of HTTPS, a setting that cannot be changed by the user. This allows an adjacent attacker to intercept critical data, leading to high impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability. Currently, there is no evidence of active exploitation, public exploit code, or significant community discussion surrounding this vulnerability.
