CVE-2023-40958 is a high-severity SQL injection vulnerability affecting Didotech srl Engineering & Lifecycle Management (pdm) versions 14.0, 15.0, and 16.0, now patched in versions 14.0.1.0.0, 15.0.1.0.0, and 16.0.1.0.0. This flaw allows a remote, authenticated attacker to execute arbitrary code by manipulating the 'query' parameter within the models/base_client.py component. With a CVSS score of 8.8 (HIGH), the vulnerability is easily exploitable over the network with low privileges and no user interaction, potentially leading to full compromise of confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
