CVE-2023-40695 is a critical session invalidation vulnerability affecting IBM Cognos Controller versions 10.4.1, 10.4.2, and 11.0.0. An authenticated attacker can exploit this flaw (CVSS 8.8 HIGH) to impersonate other users due to sessions not being properly terminated after logout, leading to potential compromise of confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
