CVE-2023-40052 is a denial-of-service vulnerability affecting Progress Application Server (PAS) for OpenEdge versions 11.7 prior to 11.7.18, 12.2 prior to 12.2.13, and innovation releases prior to 12.8.0. An unauthenticated attacker can send a malformed web request, causing a PASOE agent to crash and disrupt thread activities for multiple web application clients. This vulnerability has a CVSS score of 7.5 (High) due to its network attack vector, low attack complexity, and high impact on availability.
