CVE-2023-38322 is a NULL pointer dereference vulnerability in OpenNDS Captive Portal versions prior to 10.1.2. This flaw allows an unauthenticated attacker to trigger a denial-of-service condition by sending a specially crafted GET HTTP request lacking a User-Agent header, specifically when the BinAuth option is enabled. With a CVSS score of 7.5 (High), this vulnerability is easily exploitable over the network with low attack complexity, leading to a complete loss of availability for the affected system.
