CVE-2023-36669 is a critical missing authentication vulnerability affecting Kratos NGC Indoor Units (IDUs) before version 11.4. This flaw allows remote attackers with layer-3 network access to the IDU to impersonate the Touch Panel Unit (TPU) by sending crafted TCP requests, thereby gaining arbitrary control over the IDU/ODU system. With a CVSS score of 9.8 (CRITICAL), this vulnerability is easily exploitable over the network with low attack complexity and no user interaction, leading to complete compromise of confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
