CVE-2023-31473 is a command injection vulnerability affecting GL.iNet devices running firmware versions prior to 3.216. An authenticated attacker with high privileges can exploit this flaw to create an empty file at any arbitrary location on the filesystem. The vulnerability, rated Medium severity (CVSS 4.9), allows for a high impact on confidentiality due to arbitrary file creation, though integrity and availability are not directly affected. There is currently no public exploit code available, and the vulnerability shows no signs of active exploitation or significant community discussion.
