CVE-2023-29156 is an information loss vulnerability affecting BlueMark Innovations' DroneScout ds230 Remote ID receiver, specifically firmware versions 20211210-1627 through 20230329-1042. An attacker can inject spoofed Open Drone ID (ODID) messages, causing the receiver to drop legitimate drone identification data and instead transmit crafted information to the MQTT broker. This medium-severity vulnerability (CVSS 6.8) has an adjacent attack vector and high impact on integrity and availability, as it prevents system integrators from accessing real drone identification. There is currently no evidence of active exploitation, public exploit code, or significant community discussion surrounding this CVE.
