CVE-2023-29018 is a privilege escalation vulnerability in the OpenFeature Operator, affecting linuxfoundation openfeature products. It allows an attacker, assuming prior arbitrary code execution, to leverage lax permissions in the open-feature-operator-controller-manager to escalate privileges of any Service Account within the cluster. This high-severity vulnerability (CVSS 8.8) has a low attack complexity and could lead to denial of service, modification of cluster state, or exfiltration of sensitive data.
