CVE-2023-28390 is a privilege escalation vulnerability affecting Icom SR-7100VN firmware versions 1.38(N) and earlier, and SR-7100VN #31 firmware versions 1.21 and earlier. A network-adjacent attacker with existing administrative privileges on the device can exploit this to gain administrative control over the underlying operating system, allowing arbitrary OS command execution. Rated 6.8 MEDIUM on the CVSS scale, this vulnerability requires high privileges and network adjacency for exploitation, but has a high impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
