CVE-2023-28097 is a denial-of-service vulnerability affecting OpenSIPS versions prior to 3.1.9 and 3.2.6. It allows an unauthenticated attacker to cause a segmentation fault by sending a specially crafted SIP message with a large Content-Length value and Request-URI, particularly when OpenSIPS is allocated a large amount of shared memory. With a CVSS score of 7.5 (High), this vulnerability has a network attack vector and low attack complexity, leading to high availability impact. There is currently no evidence of active exploitation, public exploit code, or significant community discussion surrounding this CVE.
