CVE-2023-2704 is a critical authentication bypass vulnerability affecting the BP Social Connect plugin for WordPress, versions up to and including 1.5. It allows unauthenticated attackers to log in as any existing user, including administrators, by exploiting insufficient verification during Facebook logins if the attacker knows the target's email. With a CVSS score of 9.8 (CRITICAL), this vulnerability is easily exploitable over the network with low attack complexity, leading to complete compromise of confidentiality, integrity, and availability. Despite its severity, there is currently no known active exploitation, public exploit code (Metasploit, Nuclei, ExploitDB), or significant community discussion or media coverage.
