CVE-2023-25559

CVE-2023-25559 is an authorization bypass vulnerability affecting DataHub, an open-source metadata platform, when its metadata service is configured without authentication (the default). Attackers can exploit a case-insensitivity flaw in how the service processes the X-DataHub-Actor HTTP header to impersonate the system user. This allows for full control over the platform, as reflected by its CVSS score of 8.1 (High) due to its network attack vector, low attack complexity, and high impact on confidentiality and integrity. There is currently no evidence of active exploitation, public exploit code, or significant community discussion surrounding this vulnerability.
