CVE-2023-2522 is a critical OS command injection vulnerability affecting Chengdu VEC40G 3.0 and its firmware. An authenticated remote attacker can exploit a flaw in the Network Detection component's /send_order.cgi?parameter=access_detect endpoint by manipulating the "COUNT" argument with a crafted input like "3 | netstat -an". This allows for arbitrary command execution with high impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability, as reflected by its CVSS score of 7.2 (HIGH). While the exploit has been publicly disclosed, there is currently no evidence of active exploitation, Metasploit or Nuclei modules, or significant community discussion or media coverage.
