CVE-2023-24845 is a critical vulnerability affecting numerous Siemens RUGGEDCOM industrial network devices. The flaw allows an attacker to bypass intended network segmentation by forwarding malicious data from the mirror port into the mirrored network. This could enable an unauthenticated remote attacker to influence the configuration and runtime behavior of systems within the mirrored network. With a CVSS score of 9.8 (Critical), this vulnerability is easily exploitable over the network with low attack complexity and no user interaction required, leading to potential high impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability. Despite its high severity, there is currently no evidence of active exploitation, public exploit code (Metasploit, Nuclei, ExploitDB), or significant community discussion or media coverage surrounding this CVE.
