CVE-2023-23450 describes a critical authentication bypass vulnerability in specific SICK FTMg AIR FLOW SENSOR models (1100214, 1100215, 1100216, 1120114, 1120116, 1122524, 1122526). This flaw allows an unprivileged remote attacker to authenticate to any valid user account via the REST interface by presenting a password hash instead of the actual password. With a CVSS score of 9.8 (CRITICAL), the vulnerability has a low attack complexity and no user interaction required, enabling full compromise of confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
