CVE-2023-22839 is a high-severity denial-of-service vulnerability affecting F5 BIG-IP versions 17.0.x, 16.1.x, 15.1.x, 14.1.x, and all 13.1.x versions. When a DNS profile with Rapid Response Mode is enabled on a virtual server with hardware SYN cookies, undisclosed requests can cause the Traffic Management Microkernel (TMM) to terminate. This unauthenticated network attack has low complexity and can lead to a complete loss of availability (CVSS 7.5). There is currently no known active exploitation, public exploit code, or significant community discussion surrounding this vulnerability.
