CVE-2023-22648 is an Improper Privilege Management vulnerability in SUSE Rancher versions 2.6.7 through 2.6.12 and 2.7.0 through 2.7.3. It allows users integrated with Azure AD to retain their previous Rancher permissions even after their group memberships or access rights are revoked in Azure AD. This high-severity vulnerability (CVSS 8.8) has a low attack complexity and can lead to unauthorized access to sensitive data or systems. There is currently no public exploit code available, nor is there evidence of active exploitation or significant community discussion.
