CVE-2023-2172 is an Insecure Direct Object Reference vulnerability affecting the BadgeOS plugin for WordPress, versions up to and including 3.7.1.6. This flaw allows authenticated attackers, even those with subscriber-level permissions, to overwrite arbitrary post titles due to insufficient validation and authorization checks in several AJAX handler functions. With a CVSS score of 4.3 (Medium), it has a low attack complexity and requires user authentication, but can lead to unauthorized modification of content.
