CVE-2023-20881 describes a critical vulnerability in Cloud Foundry instances utilizing CAPI versions 1.140 to 1.152.0 and loggregator-agent v7+. This flaw allows an authenticated attacker, aware of a syslog drain's client certificate, to override or modify its credentials, including the private key and certificate authority, even if the drain initially had no certificates. With a CVSS score of 8.1 (High), this vulnerability presents a low-complexity network attack leading to high integrity and availability impacts.
