CVE-2023-20241 describes multiple out-of-bounds memory read vulnerabilities in Cisco Secure Client Software (formerly AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client). An authenticated, local attacker can exploit these flaws by sending crafted packets while another user is accessing the client on the same multi-user system. This could lead to a denial of service (DoS) condition by crashing the VPN Agent service, making it unavailable to all users. The vulnerability has a CVSS score of 5.5 (Medium) due to its local attack vector and the requirement for valid credentials, but it can result in high availability impact. Currently, there is no evidence of active exploitation, public exploit code, or significant community discussion surrounding this CVE.
