CVE-2023-20097 is a vulnerability in Cisco access point software that allows an authenticated, local attacker with Administrator CLI access to a wireless controller to inject and execute arbitrary commands with root privileges on an affected AP. The vulnerability stems from improper input validation of commands sent from the controller to the AP. This medium-severity flaw (CVSS 6.7) could lead to full root access on the AP. There is currently no known active exploitation, public exploit code, or significant community discussion surrounding this CVE.
