CVE-2023-20012 is a medium-severity authentication bypass vulnerability affecting Cisco Nexus 9300-FX3 Series Fabric Extenders when deployed with UCS Fabric Interconnects. An unauthenticated attacker with physical access to the device's console port can exploit an improper password validation function to bypass authentication. This allows the execution of a limited set of commands, potentially leading to a device reboot and denial of service (DoS). There is currently no evidence of active exploitation, public exploit code, or significant community discussion surrounding this CVE.
