CVE-2022-50796 is an unauthenticated remote code execution vulnerability affecting SOUND4 IMPACT/FIRST/PULSE/Eco devices running firmware version 2.x or earlier. This critical flaw (CVSS 9.8) allows attackers to exploit a path traversal vulnerability in the firmware upload functionality (upload.cgi script) to write malicious files to the system with www-data permissions, leading to full compromise. There is currently no public exploit code available, nor is there evidence of active exploitation or significant community discussion.
